Annette Nijs

Annette Nijs is a partner in FIPRA Netherlands and an economist and China expert. Annette is also Executive Director Global Initiative of China Europe International Business School in Shanghai. Annette is a former Cabinet Minister for Education, Culture and Science in the Netherlands and a former member of the Dutch Parliament who established the Europe China Institute at Nyenrode Business University where she was Managing Director of the Institute. Annette started her career working for Shell. She gained more than 10 years experience in the energy industry working in four different continents: Europe, America, Middle East and Asia . Annette has a Masters Degree in economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and an EMBA from London Business School. Annette has recently written a book on China in her native language: ‘China met andere ogen’ which was published in The Netherlands. Along with her native Dutch, Annette speaks English, German and some Mandarin.
