Lars Abel

Lars has been the leading public affairs consultant on European and international affairs in Denmark since 1980. Together with Karen-Annette Madsen, Lars founded FIPRA Denmark which joined the network as a founder member in 2000. A lecturer at the Copenhagen Business School, Lars has also been a member of the European Union's Committee of the Regions since 1998. From 1980-1989, Lars worked at the European Parliament as Personal Adviser to several Danish members, including the Parliament's former Vice-President and Danish Minister of Finance Poul Møller. He spent four years with the Federation of Danish Mechanical Engineering and Metal-Working Industries from 1976-1980 and prior to this worked with the Confederation of Danish Industries until 1976. He graduated in Business Economics from the Copenhagen Business School and speaks Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and English.
