Mårten Wennberg

Mårten joined Fipra Sweden as Account Director in early 2011 and is based full-time in Brussels. Mårten was for the past 12 years active in the Swedish Government and joined Fipra directly from his appointment as Chief of Staff for the Minister of Employment, Sven Otto Littorin. His long career in the Swedish Government gave him first hand experience of all aspects of policy-making, political coordination, planning and media relations within the Swedish Government, Parliament and at the Party Headquarters of the Moderate Party. Mårten also developed a sharp first hand understanding of EU policies and Institutions during Sweden’s EU-presidency in 2009 and managed Sweden’s first application to the European Union’s Globalization adjustment fund. Mårten studied Politics, International Relations and Sociology at Stockholm University. Mårten is married and has two sons and is fluent in English, French as well as his native Swedish.
