Matti Purasjoki

Matti joined Fipra as Special Adviser in 2006. Matti is a former Director General of the Finnish Competition Authority and served the FCA from its establishment in 1988 until 2005. Before that Matti served as the Deputy Director General at the National Board of Trade and Consumer Interests, the major Finnish regulator. Matti started his working life as a civil servant in early 70´s as a senior research officer (later the Head) of the Bureau of State Owned Companies at the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Matti graduated from The Helsinki School of Economics and has a degree in Economics.  He speaks Finnish, Swedish, English and German.
