Ramón de Miguel

Ramón is a Special Adviser at Fipra since 2009 and also works as a senior adviser to a number of Spanish companies including Iberdrola, Abengoa or Indra. A career diplomat, Ramón previously served as Secretary of State for Europe in the Government of José María Aznar. and as Director General for the Directorate of Energy at the European Commission. During his time at the Commission Ramón managed the EU’s Energy Policy and formulated new initiatives  such as the Internal Gas and Electricity Market and overseeing the implementation of EURATOM’s control policies in Eastern Europe. Ramón speaks fluent English, and French as well as his native Spanish.
