Victor Schmid

Victor is founding partner and president of Fipra Switzerland which joined the Fipra Network in 2010. Victor has a wide range of public affairs experience and provides political and strategic counseling to international companies, associations, politicians and government officials. Victor was the first Vice President/Head of Corporate Communications of Ascom Holding Ltd., an international company in telecommunications and service automation prior to which he was an adviser to the minister of interior and president of Switzerland,  Federal Councilor Flavio Cotti and press spokesman for the Federal Department of Home Affairs; before this he worked in various positions as a communications manager and journalist. Victor lectures in communications and is a member of the Swiss Management Association and the European Association of Political Consultants (EAPC). Victor holds a Ph.D. in sociology and political sciences. Victor speaks German, English and French. Victor lives in Berne and is married with two children.
